Connellsville is a friendly and active community in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. Below are a few of the upcoming events & festivals in the area scheduled for 2026. The year begins with the popular Polar Bear Jump into the Youghiogheny River and continues with the July 4th celebration of Red, White and Boom. Guests have said the fireworks are better than they’ve seen in D.C. Parades are also well attended. The most popular is the Halloween Parade. When visiting, stop and take advantage of our commitment to entertaining those who live here and visit.
An attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records will occur this year in Connellsville along the Youghiogheny River on August 1, 2026. Participants are hoping to break the record of having the longest connective line of inner tubes in the river. Portland, Oregon with 620 people holds the record since July 5, 2013. Vendors, food and music will be available for all on-lookers. Thus far, 1,000 people have signed up to take part in breaking the record.
